Being a musician, I know that life as an artist can be hard and stressful. It is becoming increasingly clear that people with a creative profession often have to deal with anxiety and burn-out symptoms. It worries me a lot how little attention this gets; for example, at art academies.
Too often, I see talented people struggle, but they don’t want to accept it. They ignore their problems and act like everything is just fine. I also was like that and looking back I should have asked for help much earlier. By the time I realized I couldn’t do it alone, I had anxiety, was close to a burn-out and suffered from depression. Although it is never too late to ask for help, I could have made it easier for myself.
I got help from coaches and mentors, and I started taking better care of myself. All this helped me a lot. I got out of it and so can you.

I have five spots available for people interested in three coaching sessions for free. The sessions will be part of a coaching course that I am doing at De Upstarter in Amsterdam.
What can you expect?
As a coach, my goal is to bring out the true artist in you. What is your ultimate goal for the future, and how do you want to develop as a person? What is the specific talent that makes you unique? And what are you going to do with it? Specialize or look further anyway?
We always start with a free non-obligatory intake interview. This interview can be done in person or over the phone and lasts 30 minutes. You can explain what you want to work on and what goals you have for the future. If you feel that there is a connection, we can start the process in the first session.
Every coaching process is different for each person and will be tailored to the wishes that apply to you. We will look at:
- Where do you get stuck? What is the underlying problem?
- Are there certain aspects of your life that you would like to improve?
- What life skills do you want to work on?
- What is your goal for the future?
Based on these questions, we will make a plan that suits you so that you can take the desired steps in the right direction. The number of sessions can vary between 3 to 7, but as I said, this depends on the person and the request for help. I am always open to feedback and suggestions on how you like to continue the process.
